Mustapha Hakme, leading Drea Becker, secures the only acquittal in multi - handed 7 week people trafficking case at Southwark Crown Court

Mustapha Hakme, leading Drea Becker, secures the only acquittal in multi - handed 7 week people trafficking case at Southwark Crown Court.

Their client was one of 9 men accused of conspiring to break UK Immigration Laws in 2016.

It was alleged that the group purchased unwanted Ocado delivery vans and converted the inside storage partition areas to include a hidden false hide in which migrants were smuggled into the UK across the French/UK border.

Border Force officers stopped the vans during several trips and migrants were found huddled together in the hide. Using a combination of ANPR, Telephone contact and cell site evidence, investigators were able to identify a conspiracy which ran for several months. The investigation lasted four years.

Mustapha and Drea's client was the only defendant to be acquitted by the jury after four days of deliberations.
