Emma Heath represented a client initially charged with the attempted murder of his father, who he accepted stabbing twice in the abdomen, to which he pleaded not guilty. On the first day of trial, the Crown amended the charges to s.18 with an alternative count under s.20. The defence raised at trial was self-defence. After a five-day trial, the jury returned unanimous, not guilty verdicts on both counts.
