Jordan appeared for the third defendant in a large scale national Encrochat drug conspiracy at Aylesbury CC. The Defendant was deemed to be part of the leadership group for an organised crime network that had close ties to one of the biggest importers in the United Kingdom, supplying “industrial” quantities of drugs. During the indictment period of 6 months the Crown asserted that the gang supplied more than 1 tonne of cocaine, 50kg of heroin and laundered over £24million.
The sentence hearing lasted for 4 days in which the Court considered sentences well outside the top range of the sentencing guidelines. Following mitigation, the Defendant received 18 years’ 11 months’ imprisonment. In total, the Court sentenced the 8 conspirators to over 110 years’ imprisonment.
