The prosecution alleged that J committed seven burglaries unaided and for his own benefit.
J had arrived in the UK via small boat several weeks prior to the burglaries and disappeared within days of being accommodated by the state.
J was acquitted following trial, during which a defence under section 45 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 was raised.
